Location Ideas 


With the scene being set at a university dorm I thought I could either use the same location as my previous project or go somewhere different. I decided to use the UCA halls in Rochester, the reason being is that I have used the location before and I know that I can try to get a different feel to my previous project.

What I could do differently in this production is to use more sound design to help create this world they live in. I will also use music to make the location seem more alive than my previous project.

I'll also be using the car park there as part of my scene is when Forrest is waiting for Jenny and a car pulls up and he runs over to "protect" Jenny. Filming in the rooms shouldn't be to much hassle, it's filming in the car park at night because of the low lighting I will need to choose lighting equipment that will suit the tone of my film.

  Dig Your Own Grave (2018) ​ For the final analysis, I have found a film called Dig Your Own Grave which is another short film. Yet again I will be looking and analysing points for the film through the eyes of a DoP, which means that I will focus on framing, camera movement, lighting, and the equipment used. This film is very different from the two I have already looked at and has a more comedic tone throughout. The first analysis had a horror tone, the second also had more of a darker tone, so I thought it would be good to look at a more comedic film, as I have spoken and discussed with the producer and director and they want our film to have dark comedy. ​ What is the film about The film takes place in an American desert as a gangster's son (Reggie) has been given the job to take this guy out and kill him. Production - Production development

Project Development In this blog post, I will be covering the key moments of change within our production leading up to shoot week, shoot week, and post-production. I will be covering moments where I discovered something that could potentially improve our film.  Location change and script changes that affected me The first major change that happened during this production was the fact that our producer and director felt that our film was too optimistic. The original script included multiple locations and very complex VFX shots, which were well above our skill level. This change would really affect the progress of the work I have done up until this moment. Due to location changes and the script having changes meant that the location paperwork for the locations up until then have now become obsolete.
