Professional Practice - Project Evaluation

Project Evaluation: Research: The research I produced for this unit was not my best, this was due to the fact that I struggled with fully understanding what we were meant to research for this unit. I managed to produce so key points in me fully understanding how this style of work experience works. So during my research, I decided to look into freelancing and how self-employment works, with that I found out a lot of useful information in some pros and cons when it comes to freelancing. With this new knowledge, I can now start to look for by myself and not having to go through the university to help me. Another aspect of my research that was key in me understanding how to construct and produce a promotional video was that I looked into how to create a promotional video. I managed to find some tips for when it comes to producing a promotional video. I have never attempted to create a promotional video, so when it came to the research I knew I needed to look into that and the t...

Professional Practice - Test Shoot

Image
Test Shoots We never really had a lot of time when it came to testing shoots with being at university during the week and filming Gillingham home games on weekends it was a struggle to find any time to be able to get to the stadium. So Ewan and I discussed before going to one home game to potentially go off and get a few shots for this unit test shoots. As we were restricted for time because we had to focus more on the game that day rather than promotional video some of our shots look rushed and look made up on the spot. That's because we had an idea of how we wanted it to look, but we had not gone over it as a group to finalize what shots we definitely wanted. Ewan managed to quickly edit together a small video showcasing what we managed to achieve in the space of 20 minutes. The first shots you see in the video is the entrance to the conference center, this is the entrance fans will use if they have either purchased and exclusive ticket which allows them to eat be...

Gillingham hospitality video 2018/19 season (League 1) Run time - 1:14 Narrative: The narrative for Gillingham's previous promotional video is a very simple yet effective narrative. They have decided to use a match-day to their advantage by having it like they're there before, during and after the game. So the piece had a clear start middle and end. The video begins with a simple establishing drone shot which shows the entire stadium empty before the game. After that, with some clean transitions, we are taken to the executive boxes to see the best seats in the stadium and then we are taken to see the rest of the hospitality areas (Legend Lounge / Bars). Also, we get to see one of Preistfields biggest attractions which is their Great Hall, this is where they host a lot of different events. After we see all of their different options for their hospitality we then see some match clips of the players training to then finally playing before ending with another drone shot of the ...
