Directions - Evaluation

Evaluation Planning/ Pre-production During the planning and pre-production stage of the project, everything was going all to plan, I managed to get all my locations sorted before I even wrote my job post on Mandy. I did this because I know how painful it can be to look for locations and to source them. However, I knew that with the location that I wanted to use as reliable as I've used it before. The thing I did struggle most with was trying to source actors. I used Mandy.com for the first time during unit and I found it easy to get the use of, however, I felt as if I struggled with doing the character profiles to try and attract actors toward my production. I only got 2 response for Forrest and none of the suited the role I was trying to create. With Jenny, I did get a lot more response, but they never responded to any of my emails apart from one who seemed eager to be a part in my film. Even though I managed to confirm with her the dates, she didn't mention that she had...

Directions - Directors Statement

Directors statement Casting: With the casting of my film I knew I wanted the characters to look different from the original so people would see this film as my own and I have reasons for choosing who I chose for my film.  Forrest: For the character Forrest I want something different to the original, but I still want to get his loving and caring side across to the audience. I wanted someone who looked more built and athletic because at that time of the character's life he is playing a high level of American Football. This made me think that maybe my Forrest could have a more manly look compared to the original. I never got a response on Mandy that I wanted and was looking for and because I was running out of time I decided to ask an old friend Ashley Tyler. I've known him for a few years now and he has been the star in a lot of my previous projects. I know he will come at the production and do the best he can, but he's not an actor. However, not being a...
